IT Studies and Development Specialist with a focus on SAP Logistics, Purchasing and Sales

Within the Molsheim IT Department, and in collaboration with the business teams (particularly the SAP key users of the relevant departments) and our various service providers, you will support the evolution of the information system within your area of expertise. You will ensure its corrective and developmental maintenance and may manage projects of varying scales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and assist users.
  • Clarify and formalize needs with concerned user departments (mainly Supply Chain/ Logistics/ Purchasing and Accounting) and propose and evaluate different possible solutions.
  • Manage incidents, problems, evolution requests, and IT changes.
  • Design and configure solutions.
  • Supervise external service providers (TMA or project) and, if necessary, coordinate with other Group entities.
  • Ensure adherence to IT processes and methods, verifying the completeness of the documentation.
  • Manage projects of varying scales, including version upgrades.
  • Coordinate testing campaigns to ensure the sustainability of the test catalog.
  • Conduct technology watch activities.

 

Profile

  • Advanced degree in IT or equivalent (master’s level), with significant experience (5 to 10 years) in SAP modules MM, WM, SD, and variant configuration, ideally gained in the consulting world.
  • Proven track record in successfully completing projects, ideally in the automotive sector, particularly in the functional areas of Logistics/ Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Sales.
  • Proficiency in configuring SAP modules in your area of expertise.
  • Development knowledge is a significant asset: oData web services, SAP Fiori, Screen Personas, a good general understanding of ABAP programs, and SAP debugging.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, pedagogical abilities, persuasiveness, and conviction.
  • Versatile, organized, and rigorous, with the ability to work in a very dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in German and English.

Product Owner IT After Sales (M/F)

 As a member of the local IT team, you will collaborate with the IT After Sales Competence Center of Mercedes-Benz Trucks.

Your mission involves leading IT projects and taking on the role of Product Owner for the following after-sales domains: Customer Operations, Retail Operations, and Connected Services Products. The relevant applications include XSF/NTS, Control Center, ArcTis, CASE, GLV, Repa, RZS, DLT, NLTS, SPASS II, GRIPS, Media Hub, CEMaT, LInAS and Xentry Portal

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design system solutions for our after-sales products in close collaboration with business partners and related IT service partners.
  • Lead the development and international deployment of systems, coordinating various stages to ensure operational stability.
  • Define the scope of the proposed service (Service Level Agreement, quality, costs, deadlines, etc.)
  • Select and manage appropriate internal and external service providers.
  • Advise management and users on process implementation, solution evaluation, and decision preparation.

 

Profile:

  • With a master’s degree in IT or equivalent experience, you enjoy taking responsibility for one or more IT projects and/or products. You are comfortable collaborating closely and agilely with international partners (user services and providers)
  • A good knowledge of after-sales systems and IT infrastructures is a significant advantage.
  • Experienced in IT project management (specification, planning, and execution of IT projects) and agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of common programming languages (e.g., Java, HTML5, JavaScript, SQL) is an asset, as well as familiarity with the SCRUM methodology.
  • Knowledge of modern IT technologies: Cloud, API, Webservices, and databases, and using modern development platforms: Azure, AWS, and K8S.
  • Fluent in English, and proficiency in German is a real plus.
