THE IT HUB: A CENTER OF IT COMPETENCE BASED IN MOLSHEIM

In addition to its long-standing activities, the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Molsheim site has recently established an IT Hub dedicated to developing cutting-edge IT solutions for other sites within the Daimler Truck group.

This rapidly expanding competence center positions the Bas-Rhin factory as an indispensable partner in the development of future products and services.

With diverse projects and an international reach, the IT Hub at Molsheim is at the forefront of technological innovation, driving forward the digital transformation of the industry. 

 

 

After Sales Applications

We develop essential IT tools for the after-sales management of Daimler Truck vehicles, including document management, diagnostics, intervention catalogs, and spare parts ordering systems.

CAx / PLM Management

Our team is responsible for the development, deployment, and maintenance of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions. These tools support various business applications, from design and manufacturing to parts control and production chain modeling.

Data engineering

We create and maintain systems that collect, store, and process large-scale data, making it readily available to meet business needs.

Data science

By integrating statistics, machine learning algorithms, and domain expertise, our Data Science team predicts upcoming trends and addresses various issues, such as production quality evolution, breakdown frequency rates, product recommendations, and the implementations of AI-driven chatbots.

Smart Factory / Digital Foundation Layer

We develop and maintain a technological platform that enables the collection, processing, and provision of production data. This platform is deployed across all Daimler Truck production site, supporting applications like predictive maintenance and performance indicator visualization. 

 

 

The solutions developed by our IT Hub are exported worldwide and implemented in production plants in Germany and the United States, as well as 68,000 workshops with 140,000 users across 160 countries that carry out maintenance and repairs on Daimler Trucks vehicles. An expanding activity

Currently consisting of a dozen employees, the IT Hub team has recently affirmed its critical role within the Daimler Truck Group. Numerous additional recruitments are underway to support our rapid growth.
