Mercedes-Benz Trucks Molsheim is taking a new step in its development with the integration of pipe bending activities.
In addition to its historical parts production activities, this new operation not only broadens the site’s portfolio of activities but also strengthens its strategic position within the Daimler Truck Group.
This activity meets a wide range of needs, including the supply of pneumatic and hydraulic pipes for the Wörth and Aksaray plants, for the Molsheim site itself, as well as for the after-sales network.
With a production capacity of around one million parts per year, the pipe bending activity relies on a machine park consisting of bending machines, saws, washing machines, and dedicated 3D machines.
This new activity also enables the recruitment of 25 people, mainly dedicated to production and its supervision.
To support this expansion, a new 2,500 m² building, adjoining the existing site, has been specially fitted out. This space makes it possible to accommodate the machines and ensure optimal organization, in direct connection with the other activities already present in Molsheim.
Through this development, MBTM confirms its key role and demonstrates its ability to innovate and diversify. This activity transfer represents a fine project that highlights the site’s expertise and opens up new prospects for the future.
